What Returning to the Church Building Looks Like

The good news is that we are returning to the church building for in-person worship services on Sunday, August 16 at 10:00 am.

The challenging (not bad) news is that church is going to look different from what it did before.

This is what you need to know:

1. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, have been around someone with COVID-19 or have recently been out of the country in the last two weeks, please stay home.
2. When you arrive, please have a mask with you. If you don’t have a mask, we have masks at the church you can use.
3. Enter through the front doors on the parking lot side. Keep six feet away from the person in front of you, even if that means waiting in line outside.
4. If you need to use the elevator, let the greeter at the table know and they will get you assistance.
5. When it is your turn, approach the table. The greeter will ask you the questions found in point one above. The greeter will also take your name for our records of who was in attendance. Wash your hands with the alcohol-based hand sanitizer provided.
6. Follow the floor arrows to the open sanctuary doors and enter in.
7. The ushers will point you to one of the two aisles. Go down the aisle to the pew closest to the front that doesn’t have an ‘X’ on it.
8. Keep your mask on for the entire time you are in the building. Please remain in your pew for the entire service if you are able. Only one person of each gender are to use the washroom at one time.
9. There will be no congregational singing. We will listen to the singing of the worship team. There may be responsive readings to participate in.
10. The offering plate will not be passed around. There will be a plate available on the communion table and the table at the back. Consider using one of our other options for giving.
11. When the service is over, the people in the pews closest to the back should leave first, going through the open sanctuary doors and out the opposite door that you came in.
12. Please wait until you are outside before visiting with each other.

We would prefer that for the first stage of reopening that only regular attenders of QSBC join us in-person. This will change once we are sure that things are working well.

The online services will be available still, although not right at 10 am.
