5 Things to Do During a Pandemic
During this time of the coronavirus, many activities (including church activities) are being cancelled. It can feel like the entire world is coming to a standstill.
We can complain about the situation or we can make the best of it. Here are five things that you can do during a pandemic (this one or the next).
- Pray. Pray for those sick with the virus. Pray that the spread would stop. Pray for health care workers and first responders. Pray for those feeling isolated at this time. Pray for your church.
- Reach out to your church family. We may be limiting physical contact but you can still phone or email people. Check in and see how people are doing.
- Read your Bible. Never had time for much Bible reading before? Now is your chance. Pick a book of the Bible and really dig in.
- Spend time with family. Being forced to stay home doesn’t have to be a curse, it can be a blessing. Enjoy your family with the gift of time that has been given to us.
- Help people in need. It can be anything from sharing the supplies you have with people in need to giving a friendly greeting to that service worker or cashier who has had a day of grumpy and rude customers.
What will you be doing during this pandemic?
